The need for security in mobile and web applications has never been more important.

As a collaboration of stakeholders in the app environment, the App Defense Alliance (ADA) has established an agreed set of security criteria for the assessment of mobile, web and cloud applications.

The result is the ADA Certification Scheme; a common means of transparently demonstrating an application’s security credentials, providing assurance to users.

ADA has defined three levels of assurance. The highest level, AL2 – Lab Tested, is intended for High risk products, requiring independent third party evaluation and certification.

TrustCB, as a fully independent Certification Body working specialising in the high assurance security domain, has been selected by ADA to provide the certification services for its AL2 security validation level.
