Results reuse from 3rd party Certification Bodies

TrustCB has published “Results reuse from 3rd party Certification Bodies”, which provides a framework for reusing certification artefacts such as IC/platform certificates and Site Technical Audit Reports (STARs).

Work reuse is becoming increasingly important under the EUCC scheme, where consistent high-quality reuse can significantly reduce duplication of effort, improve efficiency and accelerate certification without compromising assurance.

At the same time, reuse must be carefully governed to preserve the integrity and credibility of certification decisions. This new policy defines the criteria TrustCB applies when assessing reuse requests including compatibility with the applicable certification methodology, the accreditation status of the issuing Certification Body and recognised technical competence in the relevant domain.
